Last year I had my HumanIPO, where I sold my time to those who wanted my knowledge, experience or mentoring. All the funds received were transferred by HumanIPO to the M. Čiuželio labdaros ir paramos fondas (M. Ciuzelis Charity Foundation). That way I accumulated some USD and kept them safely for our Foundation's Endowment capital we aim to launch soon.

Today, the National Bank of Ukraine has decided to open a special fundraising account to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and appealed to the international community with request for support. It did not take me a long time to think - when, if not now?

I have no doubt that no-one of my HumanIPO investors will object. Neither our Foundation's project the Silver Line nor the elderly people we aim to help will suffer of that. On the contrary, together we are only stronger!

Let this madness end soon!

In June, our social project „Sidabrinė linija“ (the Silver Line) is celebrating it's 5th anniversary. We went from zero to 4000+ elderly people providing them with befriending conversations, emotional or informational support, breaking many barriers in our society's mind and convincing it - emotional well-being is as much important as physical one disregarding your age or status.

One or another anniversary is a good time for reflections - I had several interviews and podcasts recently. For podcasts lovers here it is just another one on old age people, „Sidabrinė linija“, charity and social impact investments.

Keeping my promise to regularly update you on my professional activities, any progress made or impact achieved, please find it below 2020 Operating Highlights of M. Ciuzelis Charity Foundation.

Looking back on 2020, we can say that it was a record-breaking year. Sounds controversial, but the global pandemic and the lockdown have shown us once again that emotional support is as equally important to older people as physical help is. In the Silver Line we noticed the increased need to take care of the emotional wellbeing of older people, and our partners confirmed that this topic is relevant to many.

Briefly, 2020 can be summarized as follows:

> in 2020, 1,545 happy pairs (+38% vs 2019) of befrienders communicated regularly at the Silver Line, and since the beginning in 2016, we have found a telephone friend, provided emotional support or informational assistance to more than 3,600 elderly people.
> Last year they all together enjoyed 12,000 quality talk hours and had a total number of 31,373 calls (+71% vs 2019), including 20,714 befriending conversations (+77% vs 2019) and 10,659 emotional support calls (+61% vs 2019). This clearly proves how important the human relationship and communication is to each of us.
> On average, 856 phone calls per month were answered on a toll-free number 8 800 800 20. In April, 2020, the number skyrocketed to 1,491 calls.
> 610 active volunteers communicate with their old age friends every week; in total, almost 1,100 people have already volunteered at the Silver Line since it was launched.
> Our team grew up to 11 professionals, responsible for the successful operation of the Foundation and the wellbeing of elderly people.
> The circle of sponsors and supporters of our mission kept rapidly growing.

Even though 2020 was a record-breaking year for us, we do believe that the best is yet to come. We would like to live up to the day when social exclusion and isolation of the elderly will be only remembered as a bad dream, and older people will be enjoying a full life again.

Time indeed is a commodity and combining the sale of it with a purposive use of the proceeds we can create enormous value for our selected audience. As is the case with M. Čiuželio labdaros ir paramos fondas (M. Ciuzelis Charity Foundation).

During Q1'21 the performance of my financial assets portfolio reached 18 %. Some positions skyrocketed in triple digits, some enjoyed mid- to high double digits, while 2/3 allocated to private equity stayed flat.

Starting 1st of March we at Sidabrinė linija (the Silver Line - our befriending and support helpline for the elderly) extended call center's working hours adding 2 additional hours on working days (8am-8pm > 8am-10pm) + 8 hours on weekends (11am-7pm). However, we decided to go an extra mile and starting Easter Sunday to add ALL days-off as well.

This means that the Silver Line becomes available 365 days a year. This is the biggest gift for us on the occasion of the upcoming 5th anniversary!

Why you may ask I thank you? Because your investment in my IPO went directly to our Foundation and you contributed to almost 20% of the extended hours budget. THANK YOU very much.
