Max was born and raised in Siberia, Russia, and completed his undergrad at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University) in 2011. In August 2020 Max completed his dual degree at Stanford - an MBA and a Master of Science with a focus on CleanTech and Sustainability. While studying at Stanford, Max had MBA internships with Google and ENGIE Impact, a sustainability-focused think-tank delivering green solutions and services to corporations, cities, and governments around the globe.
Currently, Max is working as a Vice President at a VC firm called Pomegranate Ventures, which invests in late-stage startups. Max is leading a SPAC (Special Purpose Acquisition Company) project that will be going public on NASDAQ and will be targeting tech-enabled businesses with a double bottom line angle.
Later this year Max is joining Google's TI Finance team, and will be responsible for Google's investments in AI/ML hardware and other Technical Infrastructure.
In the long-run, Max envisions himself as an impact-oriented business leader focused on creating value in multiple geographies and driving positive change.
Max is a CFA Charterholder, a father of a 6-year old daughter Anastasiia, and an author of more than 20 professional rap songs and two Forbes articles. In his spare time, Max enjoys traveling, spending quality time with his fam and his friends, as well as playing and watching sports (especially ice hockey, basketball and tennis).
Max plans to donate all proceeds from his HumanIPO to the Belarus Solidarity Fund, an initiative started by Garry Kasparov to provide financial assistance to Belarusians who have been impacted by their support for democracy in Belarus.Read more
