Effective 7 October 2026Version 1.0Draft for legal review

Privacy terms.

What we collect when you visit Humanipo or apply, why we collect it, who sees it, and the control you have over it. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

01

Who we are

Humanipo ("Humanipo", "we", "us") runs humanipo.app and the application process for founders. For the personal data described here, Humanipo is the data controller.

If you have a question about this policy or your data, write to us at the address in section 12.

02

What we collect

When you apply, we collect the answers you give us:

Identity and contactName, email address, city and country
EligibilityAge range
Your workWhat you make, how you describe your creative signature, the IP you already own, links to your public work, audience size, your first project idea
BackgroundTime you can commit, whether you have started a company before, how you heard about us

When you visit the site, we collect basic technical data: device and browser type, pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, and the referring page.

When you contact us, we keep the messages you send.

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive data such as health information, religious beliefs, government ID numbers or payment card details during the application.

03

How we use it

  • To review your application and decide whether to invite you.
  • To contact you about your application, and about Humanipo if you have asked us to.
  • To check eligibility, including that you are 18 or older.
  • If you later invest or raise through Humanipo, to run identity, accreditation and anti-money-laundering checks that the law requires.
  • To run, secure and improve the site, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your application answers to train AI models.

04

Legal bases

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Consent for reviewing your application, which you give on the last question. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • Legitimate interests for keeping the site secure and understanding how it is used.
  • Legal obligation where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
05

Who we share it with

Only the Humanipo team members who review applications can see your answers. We also use a small number of service providers to run Humanipo, such as hosting, email and analytics providers. They process data only on our instructions and under written contracts.

We may disclose data if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or rights, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your data.

Your application is never shown publicly. Anything public on Humanipo will only appear after you are accepted and choose to publish it.

06

How long we keep it

We keep application data for 24 months after your last contact with us, so we can consider you again in a later intake. Site analytics are kept for up to 14 months. You can ask us to delete your data earlier at any time.

07

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or the European Economic Area, we use approved safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

08

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

09

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correct data that is wrong.
  • Delete your data.
  • Stop or limit how we use it, or object to a use.
  • Send your data to you or another service in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.

California residents also have the right to know what we collect and to not be discriminated against for exercising their rights. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To use any of these rights, email us. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

10

Cookies

We use essential cookies to make the site work, and privacy-friendly analytics to count visits. We ask for your permission before using any non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time.

11

Age

Humanipo is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you tell us you are under 18 during the application, we stop and do not keep your answers.
